The LED indicates when the host computer is writing or reading data on USB Flash Drive. DO NOT REMOVE the USB Flash Drive at such a time as this may cause loss of data or damage to the FAT table. However if the unit is not functional, the user can reformat the USB Flash Drive without causing any damage to the hardware.
