How do I find the right memory to upgrade my computer?
takeMS memory products are brand-name products in line with JEDEC
and Intel specifications. In your motherboard's user manual, you
can find accurate information on which types of memory can be used.
takeMS modules that meet these specifications can then be used
without a problem. In addition, we recommend using the latest BIOS
version of your motherboard to optimise your system. This enhances
performance and usually fixes any instabilities.
How long is the warranty* on takeMS products?
takeMS extends a 10-year warranty* on its takeMS memory
products. The warranty* for takeMS Flash products is 5 years and multimedia player 2 years.
Why is there no lifetime warranty?
According to a sensible German law, the warranty must cover a
fixed time period starting from when a product is purchased. The
term "lifetime warranty", as it is used primarily in
the US and Asia, does not refer to, as many customers mistakenly
think, the "lifetime" of the purchaser nor to the lifespan
of the computer or product that the memory is being used in.
It refers to an undefined time period after which a product series
is no longer manufactured. If you buy a cheap model that is being
phased out, the "lifetime warranty" may also only last
two or three years depending on the memory manufacturer.
The PC is just 20 years old. During this time, it has already gone
through several "life cycles". Only in a very small number
of cases did a "lifetime warranty" even come close to
the 10-year warranty* that takeMS grants on its memory modules.
